THEATER UNDER THE STARS

THEATER UNTERM HIMMELSZELT took place for the first time in the picturesque old town of Ladenburg from July 6 to 23, 2023. Theater performances, concerts, readings and performances could be experienced up close at unusual venues in Ladenburg. 

Eleven different productions in 22 performances were on show, (almost) always in the open air and with sunlight as the lighting designer. 

“Heimat – Lost & Found” was the overarching festival theme, in which we illuminated the need to find our place in life from many perspectives. 

With DAVONGEKOMMEN, we had developed a theater production especially for the festival based on Thornton Wilder’s SKIN OF OUR TEETH, which takes up current and absurd topics that move us worldwide and keep us in suspense.

In addition, our guests provided a multifaceted, diverse program with their theatrical performances for a very young audience as well as for an audience that is young at heart.

There will also be a festival in 2024 from June 27 to July 7.
