In the spring of 2020, living conditions around the world changed abruptly.
The drastic changes hit most people hard and with them came fear. Human nature and vulnerability unexpectedly became the focus of society.
During the concerts from balcony to balcony, the two musicians Claus Boesser – Ferrari and Jutta Glaser improvised to an old German folk song “Es geht ein dunkle Wolk herein”. Intense, percussive, sonorous sessions that fascinated. The idea arose to form a theatre-dance-concert out of it, an intuitive preoccupation with the shocks, the vulnerability, the helplessness of these months.
Jadi Carboni, dancer and choreographer from Graz, deals with the effects of fear, ignorance and latent readiness for violence. The actor Nils Kretschmer performs an unfinished story by Frank Kafka. DER BAU, written in 1923/24 shortly before his death, is the protocol of a world in which the turmoil between existential fear and the attempt to gain security is intensely and intimately told.
