A SHORT TRIP TO HAPPINESS

The theater project KLEINER AUSFLUG ZUM GLÜCK focuses on the fringes of perception. Human beings turning into animals, rooms without doors, mazes, obscure laws which it can take a whole lifetime to understand.
The actors explore their ideas of happiness as well as the rules and guidelines they chafe at. The particular humor of absurd misunderstandings plays a prominent role here, since it is a crucial issue for the mentally handicapped: as a marginalized group they’re expected to adapt to circumstances defined by »normal« people and often incomprehensible to them.
