OPEN EMBASSIES is a EU-sponsored theatrical production involving 50 young people from Armenia, Israel, Italy, Austria, Rumania, Slovenia and Spain. Idyllic places are re-defined scenically and musically in unexpected ways: An underground car park morphs into an Israeli air-raid shelter, a bus becomes the hope of some refugees, a backyard turns into a site of remembering lost social systems. The aim of this project is to explore artistically the economic crisis, corruption and youth unemployment, to look into the power structures of globalization and to work out existing differences.
